About these terms

These terms apply to your use of tamrielmap.com in every language ("the site"). "We" and "us" mean the people who run Tamriel Map. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the site.

An unofficial fan site

Tamriel Map is an unofficial fan project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Bethesda Softworks, ZeniMax Media, Microsoft or any other game company. The Elder Scrolls, Skyrim, Morrowind, Oblivion, Tamriel and related names, places and characters are trademarks or property of their respective owners and are used here only to describe the games and their world.

Using the site

You may browse, read and use the site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. When you use it, you agree not to:

• Use the site in a way that breaks any law or the rights of others.
• Try to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or networks.
• Use automated tools to copy large parts of the site or to republish its content as your own.
• Remove or hide the tamrielmap.com watermark or credit from our images and present them as your own work.
• Frame the site or interfere with how its pages or ads are displayed.

Our content

The text of the guides, the painted map artwork, the design of the site and the map data we prepared are owned by Tamriel Map or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other laws. Game names and lore facts belong to their owners and are not claimed by us.

What you may do with the maps

We want the maps to be useful to the community. As long as you keep the tamrielmap.com watermark or give a visible credit, you may:

• Use the downloaded painted map and exported map images as wallpapers or for personal prints.
• Use them in non-commercial fan projects such as videos, streams, mods, roleplay campaigns, guides and articles.
• Share links to any page of the site.

What needs our permission

Selling the images, printing them on products for sale, using them in paid apps or commercial publications, or using them to train or build a competing map service all require our written permission. Email [email protected] and tell us what you have in mind.

Accuracy and no warranty

We work hard to keep the map and guides accurate, but The Elder Scrolls is a fictional world whose details vary between games, and the map is a stylised, approximate atlas. The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, profits or opportunity, arising from your use of the site or from relying on its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Advertising and other websites

The site shows ads from third parties such as Google and contains links to other websites. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, products or practices. Any dealings you have with advertisers are between you and them.

Copyright complaints

If you believe content on the site infringes your rights, email [email protected] with a description of the work, the page address, your contact details and a statement that you are the owner or are authorised to act for the owner. We will review the report and remove or change material when a claim is valid.

Changes and availability

We may change, suspend or stop any part of the site at any time. We may also update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a part of these terms, that does not mean we give up the right to do so later. These terms are the full agreement between you and us about using the site.
